1.BHEL ( Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited)

BHEL is owned and founded by the Government of India, is an engineering and manufacturing company, Established in 1964, BHEL is India’s largest power generation equipment manufacturers with over 180 product offerings to meet the ever-growing needs of the core sectors of economy


Educational Qualification: Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in the disciplines of Electrical Engineering from a recognized Indian University/ Institute.

Recruitment Criteria :

Candidates interested in joining BHEL as Engineer Trainee (ET) will have to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). On the basis of the GATE marks and requirement, candidates will be shortlisted for Interview in order of merit in the ratio of 1:10 to the number of vacancies in each discipline and category

The final recruitment merit list will be prepared on the basis of 75% weightage to written test i.e. GATE score & 25% weightage to Interview round.

Executive Trainee:

Educational qualification: Full-bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognized Indian university/Institute.

Recruitment Criteria:
On the basis of the GATE marks and requirement, candidates will be shortlisted for Interview in order of merit in the ratio of 1:10 to the number of vacancies in each category.

2.NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation):

NTPC is the largest power company, engaged in the generation of electricity. It contributes to 25% of the total power generation. The company is also involved in the consultancy and turnkey project which includes engineering, project management, construction management, management of power plants. Apart from its core business, it is also involved in gas exploration and coal mining activities.

Engineering Executive Trainees:

Educational qualification: Full time Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with not less than 65% marks, as per respective Institute/University norms. Final year/semester students, are also eligible to apply, subject to obtaining at least 65% marks in engineering degree.

Recruitment Criteria: Eligible candidates must have appeared for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).Based on the GATE marks and requirement, candidates will be short listed.
Selection process: Selection will be based on Group Discussion and Interview.

3.ECIL (Electronic Corporation of India Limited):

Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) is a Government of India Enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy (India), to create a strong indigenous base in electronics. ECIL is a multi-product, multi disciplinary organization with focus on indigenous Nuclear energy, space and Defense sectors.
ECIL also has a strong presence in indigenous Electronic Security, Communications, Networking and e-governance domains.


Educational qualification: Candidate should have completed B.E/ B.Tech in concerned discipline from any recognized Institute or University.
Selection Process: Selection Will be Based either Written Exam/Interview


Educational qualification: Candidates should complete first class Engineering Degree in Electrical Electronics Engineering.
Recruitment Criteria: Selection will be based on written test, Personal Interview & document verification.
In case of large number of applications, the candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination as mentioned above i.e., B.E / B.Tech.

4.Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL)

It is an Indian Government owned Public Sector Company. It is engaged in generation of nuclear power for electricity. The company is generating annual Revenue of approx. US$ 1.8 Billion and approx. 11,000 employees are working with it.


Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Electrical Engineering.
Selection Process: Candidates will be shortlisted for interview on the basis of GATE Score.

5.Power grid Corporation of India Limited:

Power Grid is an Indian state-owned electric utility Maharatna company headquartered in Gurugram, India. POWERGRID transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network.

Assistant engineer Trainee:

Educational qualification: The candidates should have qualified B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc. (Engineering) with minimum 70% score or CGPA from a recognized University/Institute.
Recruitment Criteria: General and OBC (NCL) candidates should have secured minimum 70% marks of equivalent CGPA in the qualifying degree examination. SC/ ST/ PwD candidates are required to secure at least the passing marks to be eligible for the recruitment process.

  • The candidates will have to qualify GATE to be eligible for the post.
  • Selection process for PGCIL recruitment through GATE will consist of Group Discussions (GD)
  • Personal Interview (PI) for the assessment of knowledge, skill, attitude and aptitude.
Executive Trainee

Educational qualification: The candidate should have qualified BE/B.Tech with minimum 70% score for CGPA from a recognized university or institute.
Recruitment criteria: Valid GATE score in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with 65% of marks.
Selection process: The Selection Process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE, Group Discussion & Personal Interview.

RRB (Railway Recruitment Board)

Educational qualification: The candidate must hold a full time degree in 3 years Diploma and graduate degree in B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc. (Engineering).
Selection process: Written test will be conducted in two-stages and interview.
