ENGINEER TRAINEE (ET)
Educational Qualification: Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in the disciplines of Electrical Engineering from a recognized Indian University/ Institute.
Recruitment Criteria :
Candidates interested in joining BHEL as Engineer Trainee (ET) will have to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). On the basis of the GATE marks and requirement, candidates will be shortlisted for Interview in order of merit in the ratio of 1:10 to the number of vacancies in each discipline and category
The final recruitment merit list will be prepared on the basis of 75% weightage to written test i.e. GATE score & 25% weightage to Interview round.
Educational qualification: Full-bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognized Indian university/Institute.
On the basis of the GATE marks and requirement, candidates will be shortlisted for Interview in order of merit in the ratio of 1:10 to the number of vacancies in each category.
2.NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation):
NTPC is the largest power company, engaged in the generation of electricity. It contributes to 25% of the total power generation. The company is also involved in the consultancy and turnkey project which includes engineering, project management, construction management, management of power plants. Apart from its core business, it is also involved in gas exploration and coal mining activities.
Engineering Executive Trainees:
Educational qualification: Full time Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with not less than 65% marks, as per respective Institute/University norms. Final year/semester students, are also eligible to apply, subject to obtaining at least 65% marks in engineering degree.
Recruitment Criteria: Eligible candidates must have appeared for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).Based on the GATE marks and requirement, candidates will be short listed.

Selection Process: Selection Will be Based either Written Exam/Interview
TECHNICAL OFFICER / TECHNICAL ASSISTANT
Educational qualification: Candidates should complete first class Engineering Degree in Electrical Electronics Engineering.
Recruitment Criteria: Selection will be based on written test, Personal Interview & document verification.
In case of large number of applications, the candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination as mentioned above i.e., B.E / B.Tech.
4.Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL)
It is an Indian Government owned Public Sector Company. It is engaged in generation of nuclear power for electricity. The company is generating annual Revenue of approx. US$ 1.8 Billion and approx. 11,000 employees are working with it.
Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Electrical Engineering.
Selection Process: Candidates will be shortlisted for interview on the basis of GATE Score.
5.Power grid Corporation of India Limited:
Power Grid is an Indian state-owned electric utility Maharatna company headquartered in Gurugram, India. POWERGRID transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network.
Assistant engineer Trainee:
Educational qualification: The candidates should have qualified B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc. (Engineering) with minimum 70% score or CGPA from a recognized University/Institute.
Recruitment Criteria: General and OBC (NCL) candidates should have secured minimum 70% marks of equivalent CGPA in the qualifying degree examination. SC/ ST/ PwD candidates are required to secure at least the passing marks to be eligible for the recruitment process.
- The candidates will have to qualify GATE to be eligible for the post.
- Selection process for PGCIL recruitment through GATE will consist of Group Discussions (GD)
